Protek Multi-Purpose Exterior Wood Preserver penetrates wood quickly and deep into inner layers. It regulates moisture and provides an adhesive surface for subsequent treatment with finishing paints or stains. As well as active ingredients against fungi and insects it contains an alkyd binder that forms a primer coat with excellent application properties and a short drying time.
The Polar Play range is supplied treatment free to give you the freedom to choose your finish. We recommend you treat your Polar Play Playhouse or Climbing Frame annually to protect it from the elements and preserve the aesthetics of your equipment to its maximum.
Preparation
Surfaces should be scrubbed with a stiff brush and warm soapy water to remove any old treatments, ensure all mould or algae are removed, then rinse well and allow timber to dry.
Application
Apply by synthetic brush designed for water-borne products, spreading out thinly and evenly along the wood texture.
This preserver is designed to be a wood primer and needs a weather-resistant top coat. For best results use Protek Wood Stain and Protect.
Always allow the previous coat to dry completely before applying the next.
It is recommended to apply 2-3 coats for optimum protection. Approx. Coverage: 6 - 8 m2 per litre
